Accountant: Junior to Mid Level

We are seeking a full-time Accountant for our Outsourced Accounting Team.  This individual must demonstrate honesty and integrity, and share our core values.  We are committed to assisting in the professional development to continue a successful career path within the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain the assigned client's system and work program
  • Create records using established bookkeeping practices and procedures
  • Process invoices, payroll, deposits, and the corresponding general journal entries
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, year-end audit preparation, and other reports
  • Maintain positive, long-lasting relationships with clients

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance
  • 1-3 years of experience in general accounting role
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Peachtree, MIP, or GreatPlains a plus
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (esp. Excel)
  • Must be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numerical data
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and multi-task
  • Must be well-organized and detail oriented

Accounting Manager

We are seeking a full-time Accounting Manager who demonstrates honesty and integrity, and shares our core values. In addition to the traditional role of an Accounting Manager, the selected candidate will play an integral part in the strategic growth of our firm. We are committed to the professional and personal development of each employee. This candidate will be placed on a career track that could lead to becoming a Partner of our firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of bookkeepers and accountants
  • Oversee the full accounting cycle for non-profit clients on a monthly basis
  • Audit preparation for non-profit organizations
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and payments
  • Development and maintain relationships with clients
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and operating systems
  • Reports directly to the President of the firm

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience working with full accounting cycle
  • Strong understanding of the accounting nuances of non-profit organizations
  • Knowledge of federal awards a plus
  • Experience with various accounting software programs (MIP, QuickBooks, GreatPlains, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be well-organized, able to prioritize tasks, and is detail oriented

Bookkeeper

We are seeking a full-time Bookkeeper who is ready to build their accounting career. This individual must demonstrate honesty and integrity, and share our core values. We are committed to assisting in the professional and personal growth of each employee. The selected candidate will be trained and developed to become an Accountant and continue a successful career path within the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Create records using established bookkeeping practices and procedures
  • Assist in processing invoices, payroll, deposits, and the corresponding general journal entries
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, year-end audit preparation, and other reports

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 1 year of experience using an accounting software (MIP, QuickBooks, Peachtree, etc.)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (esp. Excel)
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and multi-task
  • Must be well-organized and detail oriented
